Greeting the New Year

Each year we are given the opportunity to reflect on the past 12 months and then look at the new year as a new beginning, a clean slate.  We are given the gift of analyzing what was wonderful and what lessons were learned.  Then we can let go of what no longer serves us and plan to include things that will bring us joy and happiness in the months to come.

We grow and evolve daily.  Each moment of every day is brand new and we choose our direction for each of those moments.  We choose unconsciously most of the time but we can make the most of our day by trying to make more conscious decisions.  Do we greet each new day with joy?  Do we allow the mistakes of yesterday to cloud the joy of today?  Do we worry about the future and let those thoughts rob today of its happiness?
I am taking some quiet time this week to reflect, analyze, and make conscious choices about me, about my life.  What a blessing it is to do this!  I am an adult but I continue to grow and change daily.
My affirmation for this week:  As a creation of God, I am enriched with potential and possibility.

 Daily Word:  January 1, 2013:

"I greet the new year with great expectations.  As the new year begins, I realize I have the opportunity to joyfully co-create the life I desire.  Whatever my current circumstances, transformation is at my fingertips."
"I release my thinking to imagine all the possibilities the year might hold, and I embrace the ideas that arise within me and reinvigorate my soul.  Grateful for the memories and lessons of the past, I look forward with joyful anticipation to the year ahead.  I am wise, worthy and excited about life, as I claim and pursue the desires of my heart."

"I greet the new year with great expectations."
